Beginfluence values the privacy of visitors, customers, prospective customers and creators. In this privacy policy, we explain which personal data we process, why we do so, with whom data may be shared, how long we retain it and what rights you have.

This privacy policy applies to the Beginfluence website and to personal data provided through our contact and application forms.

Communication

When you communicate with us via email, phone or other business communication channels, we may process your contact details and the content of that communication.

Technical data

During normal use of the website, technical data may be processed that is necessary to keep the website available, secure and technically functional.

This may include:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • date and time of requests
  • requested pages or files
  • technical request and log data

Part of this technical processing takes place through the infrastructure on which the website runs.

3. Why do we process personal data?

We only process personal data for clear and legitimate purposes.

Contact requests

We use data from the contact form to:

  • assess your request or question
  • get in touch with you
  • provide information about our services
  • discuss a potential collaboration
  • take steps toward a possible agreement at your request

Creator applications

We use data from creator applications to:

  • assess your application
  • evaluate whether your profile fits the Beginfluence Creator Network
  • assess your content, audience, niche and commercial relevance
  • identify potential matches with brands and campaigns
  • contact you about relevant collaboration opportunities
  • prepare and manage future collaborations

Applying to the Creator Network does not guarantee admission or collaborations.

Execution of collaborations

When a business or creator collaboration is established, personal data may be processed for:

  • communication
  • campaign preparation
  • creator selection
  • planning
  • contractual agreements
  • administration
  • invoicing
  • evaluation of collaborations
  • meeting legal obligations

Security and technical operation

Technical data may be processed to:

  • keep the website functioning correctly
  • investigate errors and technical issues
  • prevent misuse or security incidents
  • maintain the reliability of our systems

4. On what legal bases do we process personal data?

Under the GDPR, personal data may only be processed when a valid legal basis exists.

Depending on the situation, Beginfluence bases processing on one or more of the following legal bases.

Performance of a contract or preparatory steps

When you contact us because you are interested in our services or a potential collaboration, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract or to perform an existing contract.

Consent

For creator applications, we ask consent to use the information provided to assess the application and to contact you about potential collaboration opportunities.

When processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time for the future.

Legitimate interest

In some situations, we process personal data because it is necessary for a legitimate business interest of Beginfluence.

This may include:

  • responding to and managing business inquiries
  • maintaining business relationships
  • securing and technically managing our website and systems
  • administering and evaluating business activities

In doing so, we weigh our interests against your privacy interests and rights.

Legal obligation

Some data we must process or retain because the law requires it, for example for our tax and financial administration.

5. How are forms processed?

The website uses Base44 for its technical infrastructure and backend functionality.

When you submit the contact form or creator application form, the entered data is technically processed through a Base44 backend function.

The data is then forwarded via the Resend email service to the Beginfluence business email address.

The current website does not store the content of these forms as separate database records in a Base44 database.

Resend processes the data as a technical service provider for sending the email.

After receipt, the content of the request may be stored in the Beginfluence Microsoft 365 business environment, for example in the mailbox and any business files needed to handle the request or collaboration.

6. With whom do we share personal data?

Beginfluence does not sell personal data.

We only share personal data when it is necessary for our services, business operations or legal obligations.

The following service providers may be involved:

Base44

Base44 provides the technical infrastructure on which the website and backend functions run.

Technical data such as IP addresses, browser information, request data and form data may be temporarily processed to execute website functions.

Resend

Resend is used for the technical delivery of messages from the forms to Beginfluence.

The data you enter in the form may be processed through Resend's systems.

Microsoft

Beginfluence uses Microsoft services for business email and data storage.

Personal data received through forms or business communication may therefore be processed and stored in the Beginfluence Microsoft environment.

Other parties

When necessary for a specific collaboration, relevant personal data may be shared with, for example, a brand, creator or professional service provider.

In such cases, we only share data that is necessary for the specific purpose.

Where required by law, we may also provide personal data to competent public authorities.

7. Creator Network and contact about collaborations

When you apply to join the Beginfluence Creator Network, we may use your profile information to assess whether you fit future campaigns or collaborations.

If we see a relevant opportunity, we may contact you using the contact details you have provided.

This does not mean that you will automatically be added to every campaign or that Beginfluence guarantees a minimum number of collaborations.

You can always indicate that you no longer wish to be considered for future opportunities. In that case, we will stop using your data for that purpose, unless we must retain certain information due to a legal obligation or existing agreement.

8. How long do we retain personal data?

We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

We generally apply the following retention periods.

Contact requests without follow-up

Personal data from business contact requests that do not lead to a further collaboration is retained for a maximum of 12 months after the last substantive contact.

Non-selected creator applications

When a creator is not admitted to the Beginfluence Creator Network or the application does not lead to further collaboration, we generally retain the application for a maximum of 12 months after the assessment or last substantive contact.

After that, we delete the data, unless there is a valid reason to retain certain data for longer.

Creators in the Creator Network

Data of creators who are part of the Beginfluence Creator Network is retained for as long as they are part of the network and as long as the data is needed to assess and manage relevant collaboration opportunities.

When a creator leaves the network, we retain personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to conclude existing collaborations, administration, evidence or legal obligations.

Customers and collaboration partners

Personal data that is part of an ongoing commercial collaboration is retained for as long as necessary for the execution and administration of that collaboration.

Data that is part of the legal business administration may be retained for longer when required by law.

In the Netherlands, the basic tax administration must in many cases be retained for seven years.

9. Cookies and local storage

The Beginfluence website currently does not use any known advertising or marketing tracking technologies such as:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Pixel
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag
  • TikTok Pixel
  • Hotjar
  • Microsoft Clarity

The website may use technically necessary browser storage.

For example, local browser storage may be used to:

  • remember your language preference
  • manage technically necessary Base44 settings or session data

This functionality is used to keep the website functioning correctly.

If Beginfluence adds analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, we will update this privacy policy and, where necessary, the consent mechanism before such technologies are used.

10. External links and social media

The website may contain links to external websites and social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.

When you click on such an external link, you leave the Beginfluence website and the privacy policy of the relevant external party applies.

Beginfluence has no control over how these external platforms process personal data.

At this time, we do not use embedded social media pixels or social media widgets on the website for behavioural tracking.

11. Security

Beginfluence takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, unauthorised modification or other unlawful processing.

Where possible, we restrict access to personal data to persons and service providers who need it for their work.

However, no digital storage or communication method can guarantee absolute security.

12. Your privacy rights

Under the GDPR, you have various rights regarding your personal data, depending on the situation.

You may, among other things, request:

  • access to the personal data we process about you
  • correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data
  • deletion of your personal data
  • restriction of processing
  • transfer of certain personal data
  • objection to certain processing
  • withdrawal of previously given consent

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before the withdrawal.

Would you like to exercise one of these rights? Please contact us at:

We may ask you for additional information when necessary to verify your identity and prevent data from being provided to the wrong person.

13. Filing a complaint

Do you have a complaint about how Beginfluence handles your personal data? Please contact us first, so we can try to resolve the issue.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).

14. Data of minors

The services and forms of Beginfluence are not specifically directed at young children.

If you are under 16 and wish to provide personal data through a creator application, please do so only with the consent of a parent or legal representative.

If we discover that personal data of a minor has been provided without the required consent, we may delete this data.

15. International processing

Some of the technical service providers we use may be part of international organisations or process data through infrastructure outside the Netherlands.

When personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area and additional safeguards are required, we strive to work only with service providers that apply appropriate legal protection measures.

16. Automated decision-making

Beginfluence does not make solely automated decisions about individuals that have legal or similarly significant consequences.

Creator Fit, creator selection and decisions about collaborations are not determined solely automatically by software.

Human assessment remains part of the selection process.

17. Changes to this privacy policy

Beginfluence may update this privacy policy when:

  • our services change
  • we use new systems or service providers
  • our website changes
  • laws or regulations change

The most current version is always published on our website.

For significant changes, we may take additional measures to inform those affected.
